National Day Celebrations

We celebrated the National Day on the 8th August 2007. We came
in the morning and celebrated together as a whole school. Everyone
came in red. We started off the morning singing the National Day
songs before moving on to the race. We really enjoyed ourselves!

The Power of Stories

Our school hosted the National Education Seminar on the 1st of August.
This year we decided to use stories to convey the NE messages as we
have found that story telling is indeed a powerful tool. Teachers and
students from the schools in the North Zone went through the various
stations to listen to war stories, kampong stories and stories on friendship.

Our guests also got to sample the different types of food like satay,
kaya toast, malay kuehs and many more.

Colourful Fun

From primary colours, we moved on to secondary colours.
We flicked the three primary colours onto our paper and then used
the straw to blow so that the paints will mix together to form
secondary colours. We looked at our work and discovered many hidden
objects, animals and people. See if you can see them too.

World Of Colours

We started the unit on colours by learning about the 3 primary colours.
We learnt about the artist Piet Mondrian who uses primary colours in his
works. Below are our works which are inspired by Mondrian.

Let's Make Music

When we learnt about sounds, we found out how sounds move and
that there are many types of sounds. We also learnt that animals use
sounds for different purposes like communicating and attracting mates.
We also made our own musical instruments.
